The Unpredictable Journey of Life: Lessons from Challenging Times

In a true sense, this is a somewhat awkward subject to write about, but when you witness something like this within your family, you can't help but believe it. The past two years have been difficult for most people around the world. Many of us have lost our dear and near ones, either due to COVID or other chronic diseases . I recall an instance where my sister was down with heavy coughing and was on high medications, awaiting her RT-PCR results . Suddenly, she came home with the help of one of her friends. Reflections on Life, 2020, and the Road Ahead: A Journey of Self-Discovery

We have all experienced numerous ups and downs in our lifetimes, but the way 2020 unfolded was drastically different. It didn't affect just one person, area, city, region, state, or country; it impacted the entire world. People had to change their approach towards life. Some have expanded their families during lockdown , while others have faced tragedy. Once everything settles down, and we adapt to a new normal , have we thought about the lessons we will carry forwa...

Redefining Democracy: The Power of Wise Choices and Leadership

In many countries today, we witness people protesting and fighting for themselves or for others, often against their current government, its decisions, or public service departments. Over time, the definition of democracy has evolved. This shift can be attributed to the sometimes careless approach of people when selecting their representatives. The process of selecting representatives has changed, with voters opting for leaders they believe will serve them well, rather than merely those who will lead. In today's era, what should be the criteria for an ideal representative? It should be someone who can effectively lead and contribute to the development of their area, state, or country, rather than the other way around. Sadly, speaking against one's government or its decisions is often labeled as intolerance, anti-nationalism , or even terrorism. Our democratic rights have become increasingly limited. We find it challenging to take a stand for ourselves or for other...
