The Unpredictable Journey of Life: Lessons from Challenging Times

In a true sense, this is a somewhat awkward subject to write about, but when you witness something like this within your family, you can't help but believe it.

The past two years have been difficult for most people around the world. Many of us have lost our dear and near ones, either due to COVID or other chronic diseases.

I recall an instance where my sister was down with heavy coughing and was on high medications, awaiting her RT-PCR results. Suddenly, she came home with the help of one of her friends. She could barely walk or talk, and we were skeptical about her visit, given her health condition. However, she wanted to see us and our house. After a few minutes, she left with her friend. We remained in constant touch with her through her children regarding her health and situation. The next day, around 5 in the evening, my nephew called my father, but I answered and received the news of her passing. We were deeply shattered upon hearing the news, but she seemed to have a premonition of what was to come.

Some people have instincts about impending events, and their altered behavior can surprise everyone. Life has always been and will remain unpredictable. That's why our elders used to advise us never to hold grudges against anyone, for we never know when we or the other person might face their last day.

Living life with happiness, love, and affection has become less common nowadays, but then COVID struck, and our life's journey took a detour, providing us with the real meaning of life.
