A Call for Humanity: Reflecting on the Global Pandemic

Today, we are facing a very difficult situation across the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic . All of you must follow advisories that come from governments around the world . You, along with your family, should isolate and stay at home to stay safe and prevent this deadly virus from spreading rapidly. We, the citizens of the world, must take care of ourselves. It is truly painful to see so many people have died due to this pandemic, but we must remember one thing. In many cases where severe symptoms were observed, the individuals had pre-existing diseases and conditions . We have brought this situation upon ourselves because we did not take a stand against all the wrongdoings happening around us. Neither did we take care of our environment nor the essential needs of the poor or needy people around us. We have seen many people begging or going hungry on the streets, children working instead of going to school. In our pursuit of advancement, we often ignored the difficulties that p...

The Significance of Work, Ethics, and Humanity in our Lives

Whether triggered by your family's struggle for survival, completing the 10th or 12th grade , obtaining a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree , our entry into the workforce varies across levels and life circumstances. In my view, a businessman is no exception; they are, essentially, engaged in a job like anyone else. A businessman or businesswoman shoulders the weight of ensuring their family's sustenance, fulfilling their needs, much like any other jobholder. For the purposes of this article, both business people and those providing services to others will be referred to as individuals engaged in a JOB. In today's age, the language of happiness seems to have shifted its vocabulary, becoming synonymous with money, overshadowing the significance of togetherness, laughter, and more. We've become so fixated on synthetic happiness that we often overlook the potential c...

Navigating Empathy, Religion, and Unity: Unravelling a Complex Question

Is It Fair to Attribute a Lack of Empathy to a Religion? Exploring a Pertinent Question of Our Times The question of whether it's justifiable to lay the blame on a religion for an individual's deficiency in empathy is a matter of great significance in today's context. Regrettably, this is a tendency that many of us succumb to. Instead of attributing misconduct to the individual's lack of empathy, we hastily place the blame on their religion. Strikingly, this tendency is not confined to any particular religion or region; it's prevalent in countries like India , America, China, Japan, and more. This leads to the pressing question: Are we lacking education? Why do we persist in deluding ourselves and forgo critical thinking? We blindly entrust our beliefs to politicians, follow their lead, and even engage in criminal behaviour. Is this the foundation of our schooling? Does this align with the teachings of our religious texts? What I've come to real...

The Impact of Memories on Our Lives

Every one of us is afflicted by a formidable condition known as Memories . Yes, it's a condition, and each individual experiences it. Whether you possess favourable or unfavourable memories , everyone reflects on them at some point, leading to feelings of solitude , sadness , or happiness . Memories constitute an integral part of our existence. For each individual, memories assume a role contingent upon their present circumstances. I have amassed numerous positive and negative memories in my life. Yet, upon retrospection, I glean something from each experience. If the memory is adverse, I ponder what I may have done wrong so as not to repeat the same mistake. Conversely, if the memory is positive, I contemplate what I did right to yield such a satisfying outcome. Each of us often demonstrates a form of egocentrism , ascribing blame to others for unpleasant memories and attributing credit to ourselves for favourable ones. However, it's imperative to realize that most ...
